J2O Spritz and Serve

Following the launch of NPD J2O Spritz, Britvic recognised the need to differentiate between this new premium serve and standard J2O in the on trade. The challenge: to position J2O Spritz as a premium soft drink alternative to alcohol.

Justifying J2O Spritz as the perfect partner to food through food pairing, a tailored menu of dishes specific to the flavour of each SKU was developed. Providing a toolkit of food pairing suggestions allowed us to engage and inspire the on trade, resulting in increased customer trial and ‘best with’ drinks listings on bar and restaurant food menus.

At launch the initial serve, which was delivered in a champagne flute, was heavily female biased. Through food pairing serving suggestions were extended beyond the female audience, clearly cementing J2O Spritz as a premium alternative to alcohol.
