Summer 2012 is set to be one of the busiest and best calendars of events in modern history, with excitement and attention focussing around the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Euro 2012 and, of course, the London Olympics. As we approach the start of this historic line-up of events, we have taken to opportunity to ask shoppers which they are interested in.
Shopper interest is centred primarily around the Olympics – its wide variety of sports underpinning its broad appeal. Interest in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is growing, even amongst many non-Royalists who are looking forward to spending a long weekend with friends and family. And it’s important not to allow the Euros to be overshadowed in this year’s exceptionally busy calendar of events, with half of UK shoppers stating that they’re interested in the competition (70% of males).
