Shoppers want to see more brand involvement, as interest in women’s football continues to rocket

Savvy’s latest research (1,000 UK shoppers) finds that 51% of UK shoppers are now interested in women’s football, up from 41% following last year’s Euro victory for the Lionesses.

59% watched at least one match during the tournament – rising to 77% among young families.

We’re seeing phenomenal growth in interest and, unsurprisingly, shoppers would like to see brands and retailers feature women’s football more prominently in the future. 77% of shoppers tell us they’d like brands and retailers to give more attention to the women’s game, rising to 82% among those aged 18-35.
